How Zeebu is a Great Alternative to Traditional Banks for Settling Invoices

In an interview with Crunch Media, Dr. Raghavendra Hunasgi, the Co-founder and CMO of Zeebu sheds light on how a telecom carrier can instantaneously settle their invoices with the help of Zeebu.

This interview has been lightly edited for clarity.  

Crunch Media: Hello, hi! Thank you so much for having me here. Today, we're conducting interviews with companies that are presented in Dubai and are working in the region. Raghav, can you tell us a bit more about yourself and Zeebu? How did it all start?

Raghav: Sure. My name is Raghav, and I am the Chief Marketing Officer and Co-founder at Zeebu. I am responsible for everything related to marketing, branding, investor relations, and strategy.

Crunch Media: What is Zeebu?

Raghav: Zeebu is the world's first on-chain settlement platform for telecom carriers. We help telecom carriers settle their invoices on our platform.

Crunch Media: What problem does Zeebu solve?

Raghav: We aim to address the issues present in the traditional telecom settlement process. For example, if a carrier in Africa wants to settle an invoice with a carrier in the Middle East, they typically use a bank for the wire transfer, incurring high fees and delays, with no transparency. Zeebu allows them to settle on-chain, raising invoices and paying with just a click of a button. Instead of waiting for 10 days, the process is completed in 7 minutes.

Crunch Media: Wow, that's incredibly fast. How do you achieve that? Which technologies do you use?

Raghav: The entire technology is built on blockchain. Our platform is built on Binance Smart Chain and Ethereum. Zeebu is also developing the Zeebu Protocol, which will further enhance our platform with optimized liquidity, decentralization, governance program and technological capabilities.

Crunch Media: For example, if I am a local telecom provider wanting to work with another provider in China, Africa, or America, and I have money in my bank account, how can I deposit it? How do you connect fiat and crypto?

Raghav: That's a good question. Typically, you go to any on-ramp provider to get USDT. Then, go to one of the exchanges where we are listed, buy Zeebu (ZBU) tokens, settle the invoice, and then off-ramp into your fiat account. It's a seamless process.

Host: Which exchanges do you recommend here in the UAE that you work with and are trustworthy?

Raghav: We work with all the top exchanges. In the UAE, we collaborate with Gate.io, MEXC, LBank, and many others. You can buy ZBU tokens from any of these exchanges to settle your invoices.

The Secret Sauce of Zeebu's Success Ft. Dr. Raghavendra Hunasgi  

In an interview with Ayush, co-founder of Owled, Dr. Raghavendra Hunasgi, Co-founder and CMO, discusses the steps the Zeebu team is taking to make the brand big and the positive culture that runs deep within the team.

This interview has been lightly edited for clarity.

Ayush: You’re a marketing leader and an entrepreneur. Share your experience transitioning from Web 2 to Web 3 companies.

Raghav: I saw a dramatic shift in my career from traditional to digital methods. I began working at Hewlett Packard using print media and ATL/BTL campaigns, with little focus on the then-nascent digital world. Working on Google Pay at Google immersed them in online and internet marketing. Now, in the realm of Web3 and crypto, I see a completely new marketing paradigm. I call it "Marketing 4.0."

Business cards are relics of the past, replaced by connections on LinkedIn, Telegram, and Discord. This aligns perfectly with Gen Z and the millennial audience, who are far more comfortable navigating these platforms than responding to emails or cold calls. I am super thrilled to inform you that I’m having a great time working in Web3 and look forward to the exciting things we’re doing at Zeebu.    

Ayush: You have done amazingly at building a community around Zeebu. What efforts have you taken to grow and engage the Zeebu community?  

Raghav: Building a strong community was central to Zeebu’s success from the beginning.  It was also our key objective to build a strong community around Zeebu where people can learn from each other.  

When it comes to Web3, having a community that believes in your brand is crucial. To touch upon this, we started with a modest 65,000-person community, which has now grown to over 200,000 across different platforms like Telegram, Instagram, Twitter, and Discord. This engaged community provides real-time feedback. Our community members directly reach out to us with suggestions and ideas, fostering a transparent and collaborative environment.  

The best part is the impact we have managed to create. It goes beyond conversations; the community's belief translates into action, with their retail trade growing exponentially at twice the rate of social media growth. This demonstrates that the community isn't just engaged but actively invested in the project's success.  

Ayush: That’s awesome! We’ve also seen that everyone in Zeebu is committed to making the company big. The culture where everyone has a sense of camaraderie runs deep within Zeebu. What have you done to ensure to build such a culture?  

Raghav: Well, I’m a strong believer in “the team effort.” In all my entrepreneurial ventures, including Zeebu, I could build amazing things only because of the team I had.  

Everyone on the team is committed to the mission of making Zeebu the most prominent company in the Web3 world. I believe that exceptional teams and fostering a positive culture that reaches all levels are the key to achieving unparalleled success.
